Tue, March 18, 2008 - 5:35 AMI was thinking around 100 bucks for 3 hours. (Yeah I know it's not a lot but I am an artist and we never seem to have too much money.) I'm still in the planning stages though. I'm thinking about doing this late April / early May. Location is a question. I have been shooting out of a studio in Oakland but it may not be suitable for this project.
I'd want a really fit artist model would be the best. Someone who had some experience posing for figure drawing classes would be good. They would also need to be in shape, with good muscle tone. Also, a good sense of humor is a must for working with my crew and me (I have an prop person and a make-up person for the shoot). What I aim for in these shoots is capturing personality as well as looks. Expression is a model sexiest feature.
Like I said, I'm still putting this together. It may be a while before I'm seriously looking for models. But thanks for your interest and I'll put you down as a possible model. -

There might be a studio in Santa Rosa that might be friendly to this. You'd probably have to pay him though.

Ye gods! That sounds like a total blast of a photoshoot. I love body paint and the juxtapositions you can create with paint, bodies, form and motion.

Tribe is an "ok" place to get started... check up on "guys with camera", and bring a friend to a shoot. -

My name is David Godinez and I am a local photographer that came across your post. I am a professional sports photographer, that has recently moved into the genre of shooting portraits. The clients that I have worked for recently have been very pleased with my work, but I am still looking to expand on my portfolio. I would love the opportunity to have a session with you, I have a studio, but I tend to take most of my work outside, it often allows me excellent light as well as an urban look to the pictures.
